As a new author, completing my first book is an exciting accomplishment. Preparing for the launch has been a bit overwhelming. (I’ll describe details of that in a future post.) However, as news about the book began to spread, I could see my prayers for it were beginning to be answered.
When I first started to write Seeking the Lord, I prayed it would help many people grow in faith toward Jesus. More recently in preparing for the launch, I prayed the book would open doors for spiritual conversations that might not normally have happened. It will take time to see the first prayer answered, but I’m already seeing God answer the second one!
At the start of many business meetings I attend, people usually talk about sports or the latest restaurant they have been to. However, with Covid having stopped many of those activities, there have been opportunities to share something new in my life.
When I tell people about the book and being a new author, they are excited about it. People who are not Christians, and may never read the book, offer congratulations and I know the topic of “seeking the Lord” has been planted in their mind. People, who I did not know were Christians, told me after those business meetings that they were encouraged to hear someone talking about the Lord in public. Hopefully they will be inspired to do the same.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men (1 Timothy 2:1)
The Bible tells us to pray for all types of people because God wants them to be saved (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Please join me in praying that the book Seeking the Lord will help many people with their faith in Jesus.
