Great Ability

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)

Who is able to do far more than we can imagine?  The Lord is able.  When it is the last time you thought about how able God is?  Take a minute to consider:

  • He is able to do.
  • He is able to do exceedingly.
  • He is able to do exceedingly abundantly.
  • He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all.
  • He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

The Lord is the Almighty God who has all ability.  Why is this important for us to know?  One reason that may be helpful today in dealing with the struggles of life is, knowing that God’s ability is bigger than our problems.

Naturally, we as humans want the Lord to solve all our problems right away, or even prevent them.  However, part of His ability is knowing the future and how problems work in the big picture of life.  We can take comfort in the fact that, God will not allow any problems in heaven.  And while we are on earth, we know that Someone big and strong will be with us to get us through the difficult days.

Yet it is God’s ability to solve our greatest problem that should really get our attention.

He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him (Hebrews 7:25)

It is Jesus’ ability to save us from sin and eternal death that opens up access to heaven and all of God’s blessings.  This is a great reason to be thankful for Christmas.  Why not share this good news with someone and help them appreciate and benefit from God’s ability?  One easy way is to invite others to listen to wonderful Christmas music and programming at BBNRadio.org.  Enjoy and be blessed!
